Profile: Our client is an event management company looking for someone who will be responsible for selling business events by way of RFPs. You must have industry experience, a track record and possess great contacts in and around Montreal. You know what the city has to offer, has contacts within referring organizations, does meticulous work and must love attending events. The person we seek has excellent written and spoken English and functional French. You be the 1st contact until contract.
Territory: US, Canada and some global clientele
Workplace: Montreal-hybrid (3 days in office/2 days at home office)
Products/Services: Event planning
Salary: base $70,000-$80,000
Commissions/Bonus: $20,000-$40,000 annual commissions (paid monthly)
Car allowance: km reimbursement
Expense’s reimbursement: All expenses reimbursed

Years of experience: At least 5 years industry experience
Other requirements: Well-connected in Montreal
Transferable contacts: Knows the event ecosystem

- Get invited to quote on events
- Respond to enquiries
- Consult with Ops team to determine feasibility of projects
- Build proposals
- Handle the overall sales process
- Negotiate
- Maintain relationships with business partners
- Attend local industry and business events
