Profile: Our client is an importer of consumer products sold to retailers and is looking to fill a position as a Road/Merchandising Representative. Your role will be to visit your stores, fill inventory, cross-sell, up-sell, prospect for new customers and above all maintain relationships with existing customers. You will be dealing with store owners, managers, brokers and department heads. You will manage a territory and be responsible for its growth.

Territory: South Shore of Montreal
Workplace: On the road and home office.
Products/Services: Consumer products 
Salary: Base $55 000 
Commissions/Bonus: Performance bonus $2 500 paid quarterly+ 8% commission on new business 
Car allowance: Vehicle provided for corporate purposes only
Expense’s reimbursement: Company credit card provided

Functions: 

• Prospect new clients
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients
• Up sell and cross sell to existing clients 
• Organize your sales calls between clients inside your territory (8-12 visits a day).
• Meet and surpass your objectives 
• Maintain your store inventories 
• Complete weekly administration work 
• Take responsibility of negotiations and contracts

Development vs Maintenance: 10% vs 90%
Road vs Office: 90% vs 10% (home office)
Languages: French and English
Education: High school leaving
