Profile: Our client is a manufacturer of building products and is looking for a sales representative with experience selling either building products or construction materials. You will be tasked with working with an existing base of distributors, their reps and a certain number of end-user clients.

Territory: Montreal, North shore and Ontario

Workplace: Home office (within the territory)

Products/Services: Building products/construction materials

Salary: Base $65,000

Commissions/Bonus: $35,000, 1st year

Car allowance: $/km

Expense’s reimbursement: All expenses reimbursed

Functions:

• Prospect and solicit new customers, along with sales reps at distributors
• Negotiate sales opportunities
• Negotiate agreements
• Attend 4 trade shows per year
• Grow share of business at our distributors 
• Continually teach and expose our products, to our distributors

  
Requirements:
Development vs Maintenance: 20% vs 80%
Road vs Office: 80% vs 20%
Languages: French and English required
Education: College degree in sales representation or equivalent experience
Training: Training provided with sales manager and more senior members of the team
Overnight Travel: 6 days of overnight travel per month
Years of experience: 2-5 years relevant sales experience required
Other requirements:
Transferable contacts: Knowledge of building materials and/or construction materials is an asset
Transferable Knowledge: Great at prospecting, making presentations,  able to multi-task and highly organized
