Profile: Our customer is a worldwide leading supplier of capital equipment used in fabrication and manufacturing. Our equipment is used in a variety of different industries who make "things". We are looking at expanding our market share and looking for somoene who has experience selling capital equipment, has experience with a sales cycle of 1 to 2 months and sometimes longer, comfortable with KPI management and building long-lasting relationships with clients. Salary: $90,000 to $95,000
Commissions/Bonus: $50,000 no cap on commission
Car allowance:$650.00 plus kilometer allowance
Expense’s reimbursement: All reasonable business expense will be reimbursed

Development vs Maintenance: 50% vs 50%
Road vs Office: 75% vs 25%
Languages: Excellent communication skills oral and written in French and English
Education: 2 year degree or higher preferred, or experience in Electrical/Mechanical systems or 1-3 years industry experience
Training: On site training but must have a technical background in mechanical or electrical
Overnight Travel: Very little overnight travel
Years of experience: Minimum 2 years in metal industry related sales or application experience, preferably in the area of capital equipment sales

Functions:
- Assist in developing long and short range sales strategies, forecasts, budgets and goals for the assigned territory in conjunction with the Sales Manager
- Extensive customer/potential customer contract via telephone, written communications and personal visits requiring travel to customer sites via automobile (personal/rental) or air travel
- Conduct demonstrations for machinery at existing client location, coordination of demonstrations in conjunction with Applications Manager for demos at Technical Center locations
- Expand customer base and develop new leads
- Plan and carry out field travel efficiently for geographically grouped customer/prospect visits
- Prepare activity reports for Sales Manager
- Participate in study tours, open houses, industry trade shows and related association functions
- Collect and share competitive information
- Communicate with Installation and Customer Service Department to insure continuity from point of sale to customer satisfaction
- Supply forecast, win/loss, and other month-end reports to Sales Manager
- Assist Sales Manager with advertising promotions
- Maintain customer database for assigned sales territory
